I am writing to you about my childhood classmate, and former neighbor, who has lost his home, and job, due to the challenging economy in America. He lives in Egg Harbor, New Jersey, and he’s asking for help until he can get on his feet.
Please let me say that I remember Bill, when we were kids, and that he was always laughing, funny, nice and good hearted.
Who knew that life would bring him here?
Not me, and certainly not Bill, who is a responsible, hard working, good person, and musician who has hit some hard times.
But, what are we if we are not a family made up of a community?
It is my view that we can do something for Bill who has taken every job offered to him with grace and dignity, and has thanked everyone for hiring him – it’s not for want of effort on his part – it’s hard times – and we need to remember that “there, but, for the Grace of God / Allah … go I..” and so I ask you to reach in your hearts to find some place that Bill can stay while he works on getting back on his feet.
Bill needs a place in Egg Harbor, or Hammonton, New Jersey, which is close to the train because he does not have a car of his own.
Bill can be reached by facebook email: firstname.lastname@example.org, or by his own email:
Take care, and thank you for your kindness in all things large, and small.
