Helping Connecticut Canines

A short time ago, a very special family adopted a very special dog. Zero the Hero originated from a cruelty case as he was tied outside most of his life. He lost his hearing along the way for reasons unknown and as an older guy (8 years), we all thought he found his own special MIRACLE in Marik. You see, Zero’s new family is struggling and coping with cancer. Marik is presently undergoing treatment, and he has found genuine comfort in owning such a special dog. Marik is also deaf and bonded with his special friend right away as did the rest of the family. Sadly and maddening, ZERO was brought to the vet because he has been coughing and vomiting at night since he arrived home. Yes, Heartworm Disease is alive and well in Connecticut. ZERO has a severe case along with a significant heart murmur. Conventional treatment may be futile. I am reaching out to all of you who have dealt with Heartworm Disease for advice, direction, and opinions – conventional, holistic or otherwise. In addition, the Tucker family is a military family which means funds are very limited, and although they anticipated the cost of owning a dog, they did not anticipate such a serious illness out of the gate. Papa Tucker is proudly a Naval man with deployment scheduled for sometime this summer. Donations to help them with further testing to see if Zero would be a candidate for treatment would be greatly appreciated as well as your opinions and prayers. Marik knows Zero is not well, and he is devastated. If you can help Zero with further testing, please donate via Paypal to Kelli, Marik’s mom @ Kellitucker80@yahoo.com.
