Duke, what a handsome, sweet guy!!! Duke is listed as a 2-3 yo yellow labbie mix. He is such a great guy, he was considered for shelter pick, unfortunately he tested HW+. He is described as being a sweet and mellow, laid back dog. Likes attention and loves treats 🙂 Walks very well on a leash and had no reaction to other dogs passing by or in kennels. He is already vetted and ready to go.
Weight Estimate: approx. 60-70 lbs
Due Out: overdue, has been given more time
All the information we have about this dog is posted above.
******* PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CONTACTING THE SHELTER OR ASKING QUESTIONS! THANK YOU!!! *********

All adoption applications must be made in person. If you are out of area and willing to drive in and meet the dog and put in an application, we may be able to help get the dog to you when ready to go. If you are out of state and want to adopt a dog, you will need to find a rescue to pull, arrange transport, the dog will need a vet issued health cert for travel, and, most likely, temp foster while all the arrangements are being made.
We make every effort to keep this page monitored so unless the dog is off hold or it has been posted he may come off hold anytime, please work through us. When the shelter gets bombarded with calls, IT DOES NOT HELP THE DOGS!
THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING AND HELPING SAVE LIVES!!!
Due Out means that is when the dog comes off hold – either stray hold or hold for chipped/tagged dogs’ owner to reclaim. HCAS does accept adoption applications and rescue holds on dogs before this date. It is best to have a commitment on the dog before this date. For a dog without a name on this date they may be given more time, or they may not.
All dogs adopted are altered, rabies, vaccs, HW test and chipped. Once a commitment is made on a dog, they are scheduled for vetting.
For information on HCAS Transition (foster) program or more information on adopting, please see our Info page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rescue-Me-Tampa-Shelter-Dogs/250846728289533?sk=info
If you have a suggestion on a rescue to contact, please by all means contact them!
